Hurricane Electric Announces 2nd Global Network Expansion This Month with PoP in Copenhagen
New PoP will connect Hurricane Electric’s global IP network with customers in Denmark, providing them with greater bandwidth, reduced latency and improved quality of service

Copenhagen, Denmark and Fremont, Calif - July 15, 2013 - Hurricane Electric, the world’s largest IPv6-native Internet backbone and a leading colocation provider, announced today that it has established a Point-of-Presence (PoP) at Interxion’s Copenhagen Data Center located at Industriparken 20, Ballerup, Denmark.

With access through 10GE (10 gigabit Ethernet), GigE (1 gigabit Ethernet) and 100BaseT network connections, this new PoP will provide reliable and cost-effective connectivity between Interxion customers in Copenhagen and Hurricane Electric’s vast IPv4 and IPv6 networks.

Additionally, customers of Interxion will be able to tap the bandwidth and reach of Hurricane Electric’s extensive network and experience reduced latency and router hops as a result.

“Hurricane Electric is excited to continue its global partnership with Interxion,” said Mike Leber, President of Hurricane Electric. “This new PoP will enable Hurricane Electric to improve fault tolerance, load balancing and congestion management infrastructure capabilities for the delivery of both IPv6 and IPv4 access services.”
